my name is jadey and i am a nervous girl studying my phd in popular music. in this journal, i try to write about the things i am learning, things i am thinking and things i am having meltdowns about (mostly the latter).
i have never been a beach-going type, i dye my blonde hair brown and have never gone surfing in my life (sort of like brian wilson, without the hair-dying part) but i am studing the music of the beach boys because their records have changed my life for the better. i hope this little paper (in the scheme of things) is a way of giving back for all i have taken from their music.
every day i get up and i read papers, type things into my lappy and hope that at some stage before 2009, hope i'll figure out if this was actually a good idea afterall (!).
and wouldn't it be nice!
